Manual of Rules and Rates

Private Passenger Auto Liability, Medical Payments, and Physical Damage rates are revised and rates for model year 2010 are introduced.

The Notes on the Physical Damage rate schedules have been revised to reflect a change in the base model year from 2007 to 2008.

These amendments are effective November 1, 2008 for new business and December 1, 2008 for renewal business.

Plan of Operation

Section 23 is amended to delete the $25,000/50,000/10,000 optional bodily injury and property damage limits.

Section 39 is amended to increase the basic combined single limit of $50,000 to $75,000 and delete the optional combined single limit of $75,000.

Manual of Rules and Rates

Rule 23 is amended to increase the minimum bodily injury liability coverage amounts from $20,000/40,000 to $25,000/50,000 and the minimum property damage liability coverage amount from $10,000 to $25,000.

Rules 27 and 59 are amended to increase the uninsured motorists bodily injury coverage amount from $20,000/40,000 to $25,000/50,000.

Rule 30 is amended to increase the minimum bodily injury liability coverage amounts from $20,000/40,000 to $25,000/50,000 and the minimum property damage liability coverage amount from $10,000 to $25,000 for named nonowner coverage.

Rule 52 is amended to increase the minimum combined single limit from $50,000 to $75,000.

Rule 55 is amended to increase the minimum bodily injury liability coverage amounts from $20,000/40,000 to $25,000/50,000 and the minimum property damage liability coverage amount from $10,000 to $25,000. In addition, this Rule is amended to increase the combined single limit of $50,000 to $75,000.

Rules 74, 102, 122, 123, 124, and 126 are amended to increase the combined single limit of $50,000 to $75,000.

Private Passenger Auto and Commercial Auto Liability rates are amended to reflect the increase of the financial responsibility limit.

These Rule and Rate changes are effective August 30, 2008 for new business and November 28, 2008 for renewal business.
