The latest edition (January 1, 2008) of the Plan's Private Passenger and Commercial Applications can be downloaded free of charge

• Certified producers can download and copy Maine Automobile Insurance Plan forms including the newly revised Private Passenger Application (5580 rev 01/08) and the Commercial Application (AIP 5581 rev 01/08) and the Auto & Trailer Dealers Supplement (AIP 5582 rev 11/07).

• As of January 1, 2008, the minimum Medical Payments Coverage limit has changed from $1,000 to $2,000. Accordingly, the private passenger and commercial applications have been amended to reflect this change. The January 2008 edition of the applications are now available online for submissions with a requested effective date of January 1, 2008 and beyond. For submission with a date prior to January 1, 2008, please continue to use the Plan’s interim applications (edition date November 2008).
• EASi applications have been amended to reflect the changes to the Medical Payments Coverage and will be available for use on January 2, 2008.

• Service Operations were eliminated from the Garage Coverage Form as of November I, 2007 for new business and renewal policies, and therefore no longer eligible for coverage through the Plan. The Commercial Application and Garage Supplement were amended to reflect this change.
• Refer to Manual Distribution ME 2007 Revision 005 for further details.
• Circular PCP (ME) 07-01 dated September 25, 2007 also included information that an interim paper application and supplement (AlP 5581 and AlP 5582 -11/07 ed.) were approved for use beginning November 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007. A copy of the interim application and supplement were attached to the circular. The interim paper application can only be used for risks written with an effective date prior to January 1, 2008.
