The Western Association of
Automobile Insurance Plans (WAAIP) is pleased to announce the introduction of EASi
the Electronic Application Submission Interface.
EASi is
a simple, cost effective way for producers registered by the Plan to complete
and submit private passenger automobile application data electronically to the
Plan via the Internet. The
resulting electronic version of the completed application will be printed in the
producer's office, signed, and mailed to the Plan together with the premium
deposit payment and any other supporting documentation and/or forms required by
the Plan.
Effective
February 17, 2003, EASi
is available to the Western Association producers from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT
Monday through Friday, and from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT on Saturday at www.aipso.com/easi.
Please
note that those producers licensed to transact automobile insurance in the
following Western Association states must first be registered by the WAAIP
office in order to have access to EASi:
§
Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana,
Nevada
, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming
To register, Western Association producers must
complete a Registration Application on the EASi website - www.aipso.com/easi. From the Registration Link, producers will choose their
state from the drop down menu and complete the requested information.
Producers should complete
the Identification Section fields exactly as they would like the information to
appear in Section 1. Producer of Record on the EASi application.
When using EASi, Section 1. will be pre-filled with the information
producers complete online.
The
completed registration form, accompanied by a copy of a valid producer’s
license, must then be submitted to the WAAIP office by mail or fax 415-421-4013.
Once the application is approved by the Western Association, the producer
will receive in the mail a unique registration identification code and password
with which to access EASi.
Producers
can view assigned company information online with EASi.
Any producer who uses EASi
to submit private passenger applications
can view prior submissions for up to 90 days from the day an application is
submitted online. When viewing a prior submission, if the application has been
received and processed by the Plan, producers will be able to view the assigned
company’s name. To view this
information, the producer would logon to EASi and choose “Prior
Applications”. A list of that
producer’s EASi submissions for the last 30 days will appear and the producer
can select a 90 days prior option as well.
A link to the application will also be available and the producer has an
option of reprinting the application. (02/27/03)
