Limited Assignment Distribution Procedure (LAD)
Subscribers whose share of the Virginia Voluntary Private Passenger Nonfleet Liability Net Direct Written Car Years is less than five percent may elect to be excused from all private passenger nonfleet assignments by subscribing to a LAD agreement and paying the prescribed fee on the basis of its applicable private passenger nonfleet quota. Excused companies will be allowed to buy-out commencing February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1 of the year. Please see Section 40.C of the Virginia Plan Manual for complete details and restrictions.
