Welcome to the home page of the New Hampshire Automobile Insurance Plan.
The New Hampshire Automobile Insurance Plan was established pursuant to RSA Chapter 412, Section
19 and 19A, laws of New Hampshire, for granting bodily injury and property
damage liability, medical payments and physical damage insurance to applicants
who are unable to obtain such coverage through the voluntary market.
Producers holding a Property and Casualty License for the state of New Hampshire and who are
certified by the Plan are eligible to submit applications to the New Hampshire
Plan. For information regarding the Plan’s certification program, please refer
to the Plan Section entitled PRODUCER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.
Information pertaining to eligibility criteria, extent of coverage provided, establishing effective date
of coverage and rate classifications can be found in the New Hampshire
Automobile Insurance Plan Manual Section titled Eligibility.
As a prerequisite for assignment under the Plan, the applicant must certify in the prescribed
application form, that they have attempted and failed within 60 days prior to
the date of application, to obtain automobile insurance in the state from an
admitted carrier at rates not exceeding those under the New Hampshire Automobile
Insurance Plan.
