The Delaware Automobile Insurance Plan (DAIP) was created by statute to provide insurance coverage for those people who can not obtain insurance through the voluntary market. In this capacity, the DAIP ensures that these applicants are shared equitably among all insurers licensed to write auto insurance in the state of Delaware.

Any insurance agent holding a valid Property & Casualty license for the state of Delaware is eligible to write business through the Plan.

Consumers possessing a valid Delaware driver's license and a vehicle registered in Delaware are eligible to be assigned through the DAIP. For further information, consumers should consult their agent or broker.

AIPSO's Office Schedule - Monday, January 19

AIPSO offices - the Johnston RI home office, Mayfield Heights OH office, regional offices, and remote offices - will be closed on Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
 
All AIPSO offices will open and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20. 

 

Announcements

EASi Email Verification Required Beginning January 13, 2026,

EASi will soon display a message after the Log in Screen that requires a Producer of Record to enter and verify their email address.

  • Only the following individual should complete the email verification:
    • Legal holder of the license
    • Designated Responsible Party (DRP)
    • Principal Producer
  • The email entered must not be a shared or group email address
  • Once verified, the Producer of Record will receive a one-time 6-digit passcode at that email address. Entering the passcode will be required to complete the process.
  • The Email Verification message will no longer appear on the EASi Log in Screen for your Agency after the Email Verification process is completed, unless “Reverify” is needed to make a correction.  The message will appear, and steps 1-2 must be repeated.
